Camping de Vaubarlet lies amidst the landscapes of the Haute-Loire which is situated between the modern city of St Etienne and the medieval town of Le Puy-en-Velay, and an hour’s drive from Lyon. In a valley on the banks of the Dunière river, an excellent fishing river, and at the heart of a network of hiking and mountain biking itineraries, the Vaubarlet Campsite welcomes you to 35 acres of green pastures surrounded by wooded hills. At your disposal a heated swimming pool and paddling pool, a restaurant and bar, Chalets, Cottages Nature, equipped Lodge Safari-tents and a real Gipsy Wagon. Multiple possibilities of hill walks around the site as well as the outdoor pursuits like mountain biking and canoeing. Principal historic sites such as Le Puy-en-Velay and the preserved nature of an authentic region, far away from mass tourism.

La struttura

Granted it was mid September and heavy rain pouring from dark skies, but our reception was unenthusiastic. Our allocated pitch was opposite very tired looking children's play equipment (not required by us). There were three other campers who moved out the next morning leaving us alone. The site was essentially shut, with no catering or bread supplies as it was Sunday evening when we arrived and we were told no bread on Monday; the swimming pool was covered over. The word panoramic is misused in the site description: views are in a steep valley bottom.

See above - lack of facilities. We thought the marked trails mentioned in the publicity would lead from site. On asking at reception I was given a route which involved the nearby road. Given the amount of rain and the proximity of the river, flooding was a real concern here.

Tout, le mobil home propre et agréable, la terrasse et sa grande table, les animations sympathiques encadrées par des animateurs jeunes et plein d'entrain, le très bon restaurant, la rivière, l'espace, le lieu magnifique, l'accueil sympathique. Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire et les enfants ne voulaient plus partir.

Nous avons tout aimé: les activités pour les enfants le domaine immense avec des tables de loin en loin pour s'installer, flâner, la rivière en bas pour faire des barrages , le restaurant excellent par ailleurs et nous y prenions même tous nos petits déjeuners.

Vriendelijk onthaal, hond vriendelijk en grote plaatsen onder bomen vlakbij een rivier heel rustig. Sanitair uitstekend maar voor de mocht het water iets warmer. Hier kom je voor de rust in de natuur.

Le site , isolé en pleine nature au bord de la rivière poissonneuse, entouré de forêts verdoyantes. Près de quelques belles randonnées. Le camping bien entretenu , fonctionnel, avec des emplacements spacieux et ombragés. Adapté à tous les âges .

Camping familial à taille humaine , calme , peu de mobilhomes , emplacements spacieux et ombragés pour tentes et caravanes Le site est très sympa et les gérants très à l’écoute et accessibles . Un camping où l’on s y sent bien .

L aire de jeux pour enfant un peu vieillissante et peu ombragée serait le seul point d amélioration notable . Pour le reste RAS .

Ruime plaatsen, schoon sanitair, vriendelijke eigenaren en personeel. Leuk riviertje om je met een band mee te laten drijven of gewoon pootje te baden. Mooie omgeving, veel te zien en te doen.
